I've seen it. It sucks.

Here's the problem with it: when someone sends e-mail to my keitai, I want
it *now*. I don't want it next time I remember to check, and I don't want
it an hour from now when my Java e-mail checker runs. While we're at it,
if I'm going to pay for two or three packets, I'd rather just pay to
get the mail than pay to see that I have mail which I can then pay to get.

This, by the way, is not just the personal preference of an overly
techno-lusty wirehead. When my database server is trying to tell me
that the log file is 90% full and growing rapidly, it's something that
my boss really likes me to deal with right away.

Also, see my previous rant about bad UIs, not being able to read/compose
e-mail in the subway, etc.

The bit about reading Word files, sending faxes to a nearby machine and so
on is cool, though. But nothing other people haven't thought of already.

Basically, a tool is an object that enables you to take advantage of the laws
of physics and mechanics in such a way that you can seriously injure yourself.
