I could'nt agree more. For my wearable, I'd expect:
- personalized radio (engine that clips stuff from a variety of sources
based on my profile. content providers would feed their stuff into
aggregator(s) who would be "my" station)
- packet based voice calls. Permanent voice channels to my family or to my
project team. I can switch channels or suspend if busy. Of course all via
voice. But I don't need to dial the people close to me all the time: I just
talk.
- voice search engines connecting me to call centers that specialize on
various services
- voice apps that let me do things ad-hoc: not like the
open-lid-switch-on-pull-out-stylus-navigate-to-application-do-what-you-want-
with-both-hands-PDAs that are lying in my desk drawer mostly unused or in my
backpack.
What would you really really want? Beyond the stuff that you'd use just once
out of curiosity (=mobile video phones)?
