We've recently completed a prototype of a domain name lookup tool for i-Mode
phones. This tool will check the availability of a COM/NET/ORG domain name
in real time; it is not checking WHOIS records. Try it from your i-Mode

We'd really appreciate any feedback on this service, usability, interface,
etc. We're considering building it out as a domain name registration site,
but wonder how likely it would be for someone to fill out an order form and
enter their credit card even through an SSL-enabled phone....
