Fujitsu pulls out of 3G consumer market

Fujitsu is one of Japan's leading telecoms equipment makers but has
struggled in mobile handsets because of poor marketing.
Last year, it shipped 1.65m handsets, compared with 1.03m the year before.
In the fourth quarter of last year, its domestic market share was only 1 per
cent, compared with Panasonic's 26 per cent and Sony's 2 per cent, according
to Lehman Brothers. "
