Strangely enough, I haven't seen any good analysis of this.
Summaries/balances of some different studies of Nielsen etc. would give
these results in terms of penetration:

Users Penetration
Fixed 39 M 31%
Wireless 33 M 26%
And of course there will be an overlap.
