i-mode handsets handle images that do not fit the display width the
following ways:
1. Reduce the width of the image to fit the screen: A 150 pixel square image
would become a 96 x 150 pixel image on the P209is, distorting the image.
Maps which are reduced this way may become unreadable if horizontal lines
have a width less than (image size)/(display size). This is the default
DoCoMo setting and the one used by i-MIMIC.
2. Show the image full size: Images are full size but any part of the image
beyond the width of the display is not visible as there is no horizontal
scrolling.
If you are building images dynamically, detecting the phone width and
building the image to fit should solve any display problems. If not, DoCoMo
recommends images are not wider than 94 pixels.
