In Nokia's defense, it's worth bearing in mind that the NM502i was
supposed to be a 501 series phone, but its release kept getting
pushed back and back, partly for reasons not under Nokia's control.
On the other hand, the NM502i is not "European-made"; while I
believe most of the PDC code still originates from England, pretty much
everything else from case design up is done locally on-site here in Japan.
(FWIW, it's been a while since I worked at Nokia and that was before
the time of the 502i, so take the above with a grain of salt.
