OK, I'm pissed -- some operation called Yurinokai (www.yurinokai.com)
has sent me i-mode spam twice now. I don't know where they got
my address, but the ad is 100% Japanese and specifically for i-mode
users. (The rest of their targeting needs a little work though,
Yurinokai being a dating service for people over 35...)
Spam is annoying, but spam I have to pay for by the byte is *really*
annoying. How can I stop these bastards? Is spamming even illegal
in Japan? And, incidentally, what stops Docomo from whoring its address
database to spammers and racking up the packet charges? 17 million
spams @ Y1 each would mean Y17,000,000 in profit...
Cheers,
