tony's comments bring up an interesting question, which is how do you
know that a midlet (sorry ren, i meant to say midlet earlier!) is accessing
the network and running up charges?
at least when you are browsing, you do the clicking, so you roughly know
how much you are consuming.
is there at least a little LED (or virtual one) that blinks when packets are
being transferred?
otherwise, someone will soon devise the "monthly bill expander" midlet
which quietly transfers as many packets as possible while acting very innocent...
hundreds of yen in just a matter of seconds...
ooh that could hurt!
