Actually, my understanding is that the handset manufacturers do make a
profit, it is just that DoCoMo loses significant money on each handset by
discounting them.
Seems pretty dumb to give them away to me considering the fact that most of
the phones don't even mention the manufacturer unles you interpret the
model #'s.
Anyone know the actual numbers?
