One problem with studies comparing fixed versus other pricing is that they
typically do not take into account the full costs of the various pricing
schemes. If you have a variable costing scheme, as a consumer or buyer, you
have to deal with varying costs in budgeting and payment processes (and
possibly varying approvals), as well has having to be concerned about
verification of correctness of charges. This can add considerably to a
consumers' real cost of service.
