SNAZ BRINGS JAPAN'S I-MODE TO US AND EUROPE
NEW YORK -- While there are not yet travel applications announced for North
America or Europe, the i-mode wireless Internet developed in Japan is taking
root globally. SNAZ Commerce Solutions, a wireless commerce provider, is
planning to launch an i-mode interface for its m-wallet next month. SNAZ is
offering i-mode mobile commerce to carriers and mobile portals through PDA,
WAP, SMS, i-mode and Web devices in the US and in Europe. Using NTT DoCoMo's
i-mode, users have a continuous wireless connection to the Internet for a
relatively low cost. The end user only pays for content that is downloaded,
not time spent surfing the net.

and in reading the background of some of the executives of SNAZ, I'm
guessing from whom some of the Japan-direction might be coming:
Damon Miller, VP Business Development

Damon Miller, VP of Business Development has a wealth of experience in
Internet strategy and implementation, marketing, sales, finance, and
management. Before joining SNAZ, Damon was the Japan Business Development
Manager for Mail.com BMS - the global leader in Internet data messaging.
Damon was responsible for directing all company strategy and operations for
Japan: corporate marketing and public relations; infrastructure investment
and development; new products and services development; and distribution
channel management. Prior to joining Mail.com, Damon co-founded a document
management services firm, was Latin America marketing manager and a senior
financial analyst at ARCO Chemical, and held positions in marketing, systems
engineering and technical sales for Motorola Cellular and Semiconductor in
Japan, England, Silicon Valley, and Los Angeles, California. Damon earned
his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell
University and his MBA from the Wharton School.
