I recommend giving TextPad (http://www.textpad.com) a try. It handles
Japanese (also has a Japanese version) and can do the aforementioned wraps
and regular expression searches.

I've been using the Windows NotePad, another free editor called
NotePad+, and MS Word. I haven't been able to set the wrap on those.
