A PDF describing the gadget is at
http://www.neo.ne.jp/sitestick/sitestick.pdf. In Japanese.

The Site Stick is inserted in the port on an i-mode phone, and can either
automatically drive the phone's browser to a URL stored in the stick, or the
user can key in a series of digits and press the # key. This sends a
message to the "Site Stick Server", which redirects the phone's browser to a
URL associated with the set of digits keyed in.

The PDF describes various security aspects, and has a number of case
studies, including the requisite one involving pachinko.

Best,

Jud

How does this work? I dont mean how does it talk to the
phone, but where does Site Stick get the information about
the url where to force the phone to? Does it scan some
pattern from an advertisement when you point the stick
	at it?
