I'm sure writing an imode-type browser for the palm is relatively trivial.
Take a html based browser app, add special characters, and a bit of imode
specific behavior.  It does make one wonder where the niche for palm and the
recent sony offerings are.  I like the larger screen size of the palm, but
to be even more useful it needs to become a phone (proper - without any
funky addon devices).  Alternatively, if imode phones starting sporting
bigger displays you start having an even more interesting venue.

The Japanese Palm OS and English OS are nearly identical, so running US apps
on a Japanese Palm is 99% no problem. Running Japanese apps on US Palm
obviously has display and string processing problems.

Also, using a palm with a cellphone as a wireless modem is generally not a
big deal. It does NOT connect to i-mode; it just uses the phone as a modem.
