Thanks for the nice startup on the list. It has been up
now for one month and the subsciber count is 131 (most
of you joined during the first two weeks).
Here is the monthly reminder of the intro / disclaimer:
This list is for the discussion of current and future web and
JAVA(tm) enabled mobile phones with a bias towards the Japanese
market. Discussions on technical and marketing issues are welcome.
This document is mailed monthly as a reminder to all subscribers
of the list. This document is divided in two main parts:
instructive and legal. The legal part is included only because
lawyers these days have some bizarre visions of who is responsible
when someone posts something illegal to a mailinglist. It is
not ment to turn down any conversation.
To post an article to the list send mail to
"KEITAI-L@appelsiini.net".
If you ever need to unsubscibe from the list, send mail to
"listar@appelsiini.net" with subject "unsubscribe KEITAI-L".
To receive the list in a digest form send mail to
"listar@appelsiini.net" with subject "set KEITAI-L digest".
List-maintainer can be reached from address
"keitai-l-owner@appelsiini.net".
Posting guidelines:
To keep the list comfortable for everyone, it is advised that
subscribers follow these basic rules:
1. Preferred language is English. Discussion in any other
language is discouraged.
2. Don't post any virus warnings or chain letters to the list.
Most chain letters and virus warnings are scams or atleast
waste of everyones time and computer resources.
If you are still concerned about viruses, please consult
the following urls:
http://www.kumite.com/myths/
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/vinfodb.html
3. Don't post test messages of any kind to the list.
4. Don't post messages in HTML format to the list.
5. Don't violate any copyright laws when posting to the
list. When in doubt please consult:
http://www.templetons.com/brad/copymyths.html
6. Don't send attachments to the list. Instead upload the
files to a web server and post the URL of the files
to the list. Please note that the MLM software strips
away all the attachments sent to the list.
7. When replying to messages please only quote parts of
the message you will be discussing or that are relevant.
It is especially annoying to quote the entire text of an
article when just adding a few lines of comments.
Overquoting is also considered bad netiquette.
8. Be polite. Remember it is a human you are replying to.
